About Asem Alabtah

I’m a Microsoft-certified Power Platform developer based in Amman, Jordan, working remotely with clients in the Gulf and open to projects further afield. Over 3 years and 25+ projects I’ve built Canvas and Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate workflows, Dataverse models, and Power Pages portals for businesses that needed software built properly.

How I ended up doing this

I started on the web side, writing JavaScript and React. What pulled me toward the Power Platform was watching how much business software gets abandoned: a system nobody uses because it was built around a process that does not exist, or a spreadsheet still running a department three years after the real system was bought.

The Power Platform is good at the gap in between. It gets you to working software fast enough that people will actually try it, and changing it later does not mean starting over. That matters more than it sounds, because the first version is almost never right.

Most of my work now is operational: apps used at gates, in yards, and on sites, by people who are not sitting at a desk and have no patience for software that gets in the way. That constraint has made me a better developer than any framework has.

Experience

  1. Senior Power Platform Consultant

ILG Global · Kuwait — remote

    • Lead the architecture, design, and build of Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate workflows on Dataverse.
    • Work through third-party integrations where the platform has no ready-made connector.
    • Take on performance problems and refactoring in enterprise solutions that were already in production before I arrived.
    • Translate what stakeholders describe into something that holds up in build, and mentor other developers on the team.
  2. Power Platform Consultant

    TopNotch Technology · Amman, Jordan

    • Built and maintained Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate flows across a range of client projects.
    • Integrated Dataverse with SharePoint, SQL Server, and third-party services.
    • Diagnosed and fixed performance problems in existing Power Apps, most of them delegation issues in disguise.
